Nicole Badenhorst
My Name is Nicole Badenhorst. I have been involved in animal welfare for 4 years now and run Pet Empowerment in Townships (PETS) Johannesburg. I have a great love for animals and with my partner Laura, we identified a great need in the South African market for people to have a place for their dogs to go to during the day, where they will be cared for by trained professionals, while they are busy at work. Many people are too busy during the week to be able to give their fur babies as much attention as they would like to. As a result this can often lead to a lot of behavioural issues. Furthermore, very few people have the time to train their dogs. It is for this reason, that doggy daycare was born :-)
Being a pet owner is a great privilege. Having the love of an animal makes you feel like the richest person in the world. My passion is those who cannot speak for themselves. I have completed a canine first aid course through Thinking Pets and my dream is to one day qualify as a veterinary nurse.

Simphiwe Maseko- Lead Dog Handler
My name is Simphiwe. I have a great love for all animals especially dogs. I have grown up with dogs my whole life and it is a dream come true to be able to work with them. I find it very rewarding to entertain the dogs with games and activities and teach them good manners. My dream is to further my knowledge of dogs through studying and experience.
I am an experienced dog handler and have been working with dogs for the past 4 years. I have also completed my certification through ThinkingPets in puppy socialization and training for Confi-Puppy and am now a certified level 2.

Stanley Mshana- Lead Dog Handler
Hi my name is Stan. My favourite breed of dogs are pugs because they are so friendly and love to play. I love giving back to the community and volunteer for PETS (Pet Empowerment in Townships) and help the animals in underpriveldged communities. My dream one day is to have my own animal shelter. I always want to work with animals.

Gift Tchongwe
Gift is the newest member and a wonderful additon to our team. He has many years of experience with our furry friends including working at an animal rescue organisation and at Royal Cannin events. Our babies just love him!
Zweli Vundla
Zweli is a fun loving guy who loves singing to the dogs and playing thinking games with the dogs like hide and seek, catches and soccer. His favourite breed are French Bulldogs.

My name is Laura Whittaker. I have completed a COAPE Canine behaviour and training course through Thinking Pets. I have also completed a canine first aid course through Thinking Pets. I have been volunteering for an animal welfare organisation called PETS (Pet Empowerment in Townships) , where I have had the opportunity to work with different types of dogs and help improve their lives in many ways.
I have 4 dogs of my own and I have fostered many dogs on behalf of PETS. As a result of this I have learned many aspects of canine/ human relationships and how to communicate with and understand dogs to a great extent. I feel privileged to work with dogs every day and share love and happiness with them - because this is what they deserve!

Admire Manedzo- Lead Dog Handler
HI my name is Admire. I love working with animals all day. My favourite breed is Labrador and Golden Retrievers. I grew up with a lot of different animals and have had them all my life. What I love most about dogs is when you look into their eyes, it speaks to your soul. I love working with them because they are fun to be with and stress free. My dream one day is to own my own pet shop where I can sell different items for dogs.

Edson has a fun and gentle attitude that all the dogs love. He is especially good with the shy dogs.

Eric is a family man with an incredible love and passion for dogs. His favourite breed is Chihuahua.
